signature – Want Coldcard CLI doc clarification

I am wanting on the documentation for the Coldcard CLI and I am slightly confused as to what particularly the -p, –path TEXT command does. Within the documentation, it says the next:

% ckcc msg –help Utilization: ckcc msg [OPTIONS] MESSAGE

Signal a brief textual content message

Choices: -p, –path TEXT Derivation for key to make use of
-v, –verbose Embody fancy ascii armour
-j, –just-sig Simply the signature itself, nothing extra
–help Present this message and exit.

For example I’ve a transaction with a single enter with the trail m/84’/0/0/1/0. If I have been to, say, command –path m/5′, would that then signal the transaction with the PRIVATE KEY at m/5′ or wouldn’t it signal it with m/5’/84’/0/0/1/0?
